Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 19, 2026

ConsultMeIn LLC and its affiliates, doing business as SkillIQ ("SkillIQ," "we," "us," or "our"), are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers, candidates, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and services.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide:

  • Account registration information (name, email address, password)
  • Company and job-related information provided by recruiters
  • Resumes, assessment responses, and interview recordings provided by candidates
  • Compliance documents uploaded for background verification
  • Payment and billing information

Information Collected Automatically:

  • Device information, browser type, IP address
  • Usage data including pages visited, features used, and time spent
  • Assessment integrity data (tab-switch events, copy-paste events, timing data)
  • Video and audio data during AI-powered interviews (with candidate consent)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
  • Process assessments, interviews, and resume evaluations using AI
  • Generate AI-powered scores, summaries, and recommendations
  • Facilitate background verification and compliance workflows
  • Detect and prevent cheating, fraud, and unauthorized access
  • Send notifications, reminders, and service communications
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Biometric Information (Special Category Data)

Certain features — in particular our AI video interviews and anti-cheating monitoring — capture and analyse facial imagery and other biometric identifiers. We treat this as special/sensitive category data and handle it as follows:

  • Explicit consent first: we obtain your separate, written, informed consent before any biometric data is collected. You may decline; declining means you cannot proceed with biometric-based interviews.
  • Purpose limitation: biometric data is used only for identity/presence verification and interview-integrity (anti-cheating) — not for any other purpose.
  • No sale, no AI training: we never sell, lease, or trade biometric data, and we do not use it to train or improve AI models.
  • Retention & destruction: biometric identifiers are retained only as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose (and the related hiring decision) and are then permanently destroyed, in accordance with our Biometric Data Retention & Destruction Policy and applicable law (including BIPA's 3-year maximum).
  • Security: biometric data is encrypted in transit and at rest and access is strictly limited.

This section is designed to support the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), GDPR (Article 9), India's DPDP Act 2023, and UAE/Singapore PDPL/PDPA requirements for sensitive personal data.

4. AI Processing

SkillIQ uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to power our assessment scoring, interview analysis, resume parsing, and anti-cheating features. When AI processes your data:

  • We use third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) to process certain data
  • We do not use your data to train or improve AI models
  • AI-generated results are supplementary and not a substitute for human decision-making
  • Recruiters maintain full control over hiring decisions

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Customers (Recruiters): Assessment results, interview scores, and verification status are shared with the recruiting organization that invited you
  • Service Providers: Third-party providers who assist us in operating our platform (hosting, AI processing, analytics)
  • Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, or legal process
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Candidate data is retained in accordance with our customer's data retention policies and applicable law. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities

  • EU/UK – GDPR/UK GDPR: lawful basis for processing, data-subject access/erasure/portability, objection and restriction rights, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We act as a data processor on behalf of recruiter customers (controllers) for candidate data.
